Enjoy the cozy fire in the common room, sleep in a luxurious bed, take advantage of the peace and quiet away from it all. REALLY away--you need to follow a single lane country road for a bit to find it. Excellent wi-fi, an accommodating host with a cute family, fresh bread, yogurt and eggs for breakfast--family style. We came to Laguiole to eat at the renowned restaurant and to buy cutlery. When the Bras hotel offered us a room at over 500 euros, we searched out this alternative and were pleased with the outcome (including eating at Bras).The Caprice is about a mile up a winding track off the road from St Flour. It is a successful conversion of an old farm building, done out in modern taste, even including fast wifi. Our room was spacious, with a comfortable king-sized bed, excellent bathroom with walk-in shower and good storage. There is a large living room downstairs, with a pool table that Nathan, the tiny son of the house, tries desperately to take over. Breakfast is simple but good quality French style. It's worth ringing ahead to say when you're arriving, as the owners might be out during the daytime. For a pleasant, impeccable B&B, the price was very reasonable indeed.Read less

This is among the best chambre d'hôtes or gites that I have ever stayed at. The way the owner constructed the space is perfect. Views from all the rooms, and they are silent no matter what is going on in the common space below. Absolutely divine atmosphere and feels very warm inside (ambiance). A large fireplace was excellent at this time of year to enjoy with friends while enjoying a cocktail (or two). They built a great cave with lounge chairs to enjoy a glass of wine and relax.The owner in very nice and was fun to talk to and rear with local recommendations.It was an excellent weekend with friends, made extra special by a fabulous location and really, really well done rooms.

We spent a wonderful weekend in this sumptuous building full of past and present. The decoration is modern and tastefully done.The excellent breakfast is taken on a table of former seminarians (or priests, I don't remember...) near the fireplace.

We spent 3 nights at the Caprices d'Aubrac. Very beautiful guest rooms, in a quiet area in a small hamlet away from Laguiole. They are located in an old building, tastefully restored and perfectly maintained. Ideal to discover the Aubrac.
